Why Choose Us
We are a locally owned landscaping company. We are licensed and insured. We care for homes, offices, retail centers, HOAs, and municipal properties. Clippings go back onto the lawn instead of the mulch beds. Every estimate is free.

In the Area
Mount Holly calls weeds, grass, or vines 12 inches or more tall a public nuisance when they threaten public health or safety. That covers growth within 100 feet of a home, business, or public right-of-way, and any lot of one acre or less. A written notice gives the owner 15 days. Then the city does the work and charges its actual cost, and unpaid charges become a lien. Check your lot’s back and side corners.

Questions
We offer lawn care, landscaping, mulching, lawn aeration, lawn spraying, and commercial landscaping.
The city lets an owner contest a nuisance finding at a hearing before the Zoning Board of Adjustment. The written request goes to the City Manager before the 15-day notice period ends, and it pauses the order. The hearing must be held within 31 days, and the owner can present evidence against the finding. The board can revoke the order, change it, or reinstate it as final.
No. Under the city’s current nuisance code, a chronic violator or repeat offender gets no notice of violation and no time to correct any later violation. A lot that was cited once and grows tall again can go straight to enforcement, so a second overgrown stretch can end in the city’s bill without a new 15 days.
Besides tall grass, the city’s nuisance ordinance names piles of brush and other combustible items, vegetable matter that smells or shelters rodents, snakes, or vermin, and standing water that can host insect larvae. Any of them on a lot can draw the same written notice. Look over brush piles, compost heaps, and low spots where water sits.
Yard waste too large for the city cart goes in the grass strip between the street and the sidewalk when the street has one. Without a strip, it goes off the part of the street used by vehicles, pedestrians, or drainage. Some material must be bagged under the city’s collection policy. Debris from grading or clearing is building waste, which the city does not collect except under that policy, so plan where it goes before a new bed is dug.
